چکیده
Abstract Background Carpal tunnel syndrome is the commonest entrapment neuropathy. The cut-off point of cross-sectional area to diagnose carpal may vary among populations. objective this study was determine best median nerve Egyptian population and compare difference in diabetic patients versus healthy individuals. Results Mean 7.78 ± 1.260 mm 2 individuals 8 1.018 diabetics. Cut-off above which compression anticipated 9.5 . Conclusion Ultrasound can be used by measuring area.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to develop an evidence-based guideline for the use of neuromuscular ultrasound in the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Methods: Two questions were asked: (1) What is the accuracy of median nerve cross-sectional area enlargement as measured with ultrasound for the diagnosis of CTS? (2) What added value, if any, does neuromuscular ultrasound p...

متن کاملValue of high-frequency ultrasound in diagnosing carpal tunnel syndrome.
This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound examination for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). A total of 63 wrists from 45 patients diagnosed with CTS were selected as the study group, and 43 asymptomatic wrists of 40 cases were included as the normal control group. Parameters such as the transverse diameter, vertical diameter, cross-sectional area (CSA), and flat...
